elephant alcoholics and bitches, oh my!

after many years (2) of forgetting about this site and then remembering it, i was excited to discover that i had 3 comments on my last blog! really? someone read my page actually AND had something to contribute? turns out it was just spam. now i can't figure out how to remove it.

i get wrapped up in my own day to day that i neglect what's happening out there in the world. i need to try to make an effort to read the "paper" more (ie daily news online) and when i do, i find the strangest articles.

one i want to mention is about paris hilton helping drunken elephants. at first, i thought it was in reference to britney. (badoom tshhh...thank you, thank you, i'll be here all week.) really? so after a stint in jail for drunken driving, her first attempt at 'a new face' is to tackle "drunk elephants?" this made me laugh.

"The elephants get drunk all the time. It is becoming really dangerous. We need to stop making alcohol available to them."

i wanted to read this article again yesterday so i went back to the original page where i had seen it, only to find that it was retracted and paris hilton's publicists deny her making any comments about elephants with alcohol addictions. oh well.

the second article worth mentioning is about an indian man who marries a dog. though this is where i first saw the story, i saw another article about it today that says:

"After a long search for a 'suitable bride', Selvakumar managed to get a four-year-old mongrel bitch from a friend..."

i can only hope that's that my own wedding announcement may go. how romantic.

lastly, i read an article today that a woman has "core-gasms" while doing ab work. are you freaking serious? if i could experience this, i would be working out way more. i still don't even know what a runner's high is, despite the many, many miles i've run. i feel like i'm really missing out. :(

in other news, i am thoroughly irritated with how PC everyone has to be these days and how overly sensitive people are to so many issues. i just learned that "siamese twin" is no longer PC. really? who decided that? and why? why is that so offensive?

so remember, ladies and gentlemen, it's not "midgets" it's "little people" and it's not "siamese twins" it's "conjoined twins."

ps. on that note, my first blog post on this blog probably isn't PC at all. oops.

I had a dog I would've married. His name was Duke. I mean if I was going to marry a dog I may as well go marry a boy dog. In for a penny, in for a pound.
