and in celebrity news...

amy winehouse: i just can't get into this chick. this article about her latest show in birmingham is just confirmation to me why i don't like her and more reason to not buy her music. from what i've read, she allegedly called her audience a four letter c-word. is that how you treat your fans? tickets to shows aren't really cheap, especially if you're paying through ticketmaster's ridiculous convenience charges. (which is another story; i hate going to a $30 concert and end up paying close to $100 to get 2 tickets to go. argh!)

from the article, she says:
"Let me tell you something. First of all, if you're booing you're a mug for buying a ticket,"

fair enough. i think anyone who would go to an amy winehouse concert is a mug. or do i? i don't even know what a mug is, besides something i use to drink hot cocoa out of. or in slang terms, i know it as a face. "a mug only a mother could love." k, thank goodness for urban dictionary.

Mug is an insult. Mainly an English term, so I'd appreciate it if my yank friends wouldnt vote a thumbs down just because you've never heard it before, awrite? Good, ya mug. Its hard to give a precise definition, but basically a mug is a naive or easily cheated person, an idiot, or just somebody you dont like

then she says:

"Second, to all those booing, just wait 'til my husband gets out of incarceration. And I mean that."

what the hell is that threat supposed to mean? she's going to sic him on them?

the article goes on to say "She also allegedly called them an unflattering epithet involving monkeys." i seem to have a lack of imagination, i can't figure out what this unflattering epithet might be. let me know if you know.

i know - she was lovesick. she misses her husband. she's a recovering addict. etc. etc. etc. but this is her job. people are paying to hear her sing, and put on a performance. if she's not feeling up to it, don't do it. cancel the show. you're notorious for it anyway. don't take it out on your fans (now probably ex-fans). i don't go to work and cry about the shit that goes on in my life to everyone and she shouldn't either.

does she remind anyone else of janice from friends? oh, i'm not the only one; apparently others do think so.

heidi klum: here's the headline:

Britney gives Heidi Klum key parenting advice: Supermodel thankful after Spears shows her how to properly diaper baby

and the quote:

Britney went on to solve the diaper mystery that was perplexing Heidi. “You know these sticky things on the side? I never knew that they were there. To close them in the front, I was always putting string around. I had no idea,” Klum said to Ellen.“It’s very clever,” she added. “I learned a lot of things.”
why are these people breeding.
